Reporting live from Barcelona

TVI has completed a major assignment covering the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The three person TVI team shot and edited a range of video reports for several clients in an exhilarating week at the show, attended by nearly 50,000 people and featuring presentations by some of the world‘s leading mobile companies. TVI provided reports to the weekly paper Business7 and its website, and also for leading tech news site redwasp. The team also undertook interviews with 15 Scottish companies from the Scotland stand organised by Scottish Development International. TVI also recorded video material for long-standing client SEP, and for a London tech company, Control Circle. "It was a demanding week but we proved that we could take our equipment to Barcelona and deliver everything we promised," said TVI‘s Maurice Smith. "We shot each report in high definition (HD and edited on the spot. Credit goes to cameraman James McLaughlin and producer/editor Laura Kingwell for such a great job. We also benefit from using a really well equipped media centre at the show." TVI is planning to create a special video news service from major trade shows throughout Europe, bringing video reports directly from he show to the Web. “We bring long-standing news journalism skills and experience to the job. It means we can provide very high quality material at ultra low-cost. We are experiencing a growth in demand as companies develop their own news channels on the Web,” added Maurice Smith.
